What does the health screen include

60 minutes £300 + pathology & test costs. 

Our well woman elite health check is ideal for women seeking a comprehensive examination of their health. Spend 60 minutes with our expert GPs, delving into your female health history, lifestyle, and genetic predispositions to future illnesses. The fee of £300 is for the appointment and follow up. Pathology and tests costs are in addition to this depending on which tests are required. 

History:

  • Female health history

  • Assessment of current symptoms

  • Review of lifestyle factors

  • Family history and associated risks

Examination:

  • Comprehensive physical examination: heart, lungs, abdomen, hernias

  • Breast and pelvic examinations

  • Smear test, if indicated

Core Tests recommended:

  • Comprehensive blood tests covering full blood count, kidney and liver function, cholesterol levels, fasting sugar levels, cardiac and muscle enzymes, bone markers, iron and ferritin levels, thyroid function, vitamin D. 

Examples of additional tests if required:

  • Diabetes check (HbA1c) 

  • Female hormone blood profile 

  • Ovarian cancer screening blood test (CA125)

  • Smear test for cervical cancer screening 

  • Stool qFIT test for bowel cancer screening. 

  • Urinalysis 

  • Food specific IgG antibody detection of 200 different food types

We customize our medical check-ups to suit your individual needs. This may involve requesting or recommending additional tests beyond the standard well-woman check-up. Below, you'll find a list of common tests that patients often add to their check-ups.

Please be aware that these additional tests are subject to extra fees.

  • Vaginal Swabs

    • Candida (thrush), bacterial vaginosis, trichomonas

  • Sexual Health Screen

    • Swabs or urine tests for chlamydia and gonorrhea,  Ureaplasma, Trichomonas vaginalis, Gardnerella vaginalis, Herpes simplex 1 & 2. Blood tests for HIV and syphilis, hepatitis. 

  • Mammography

    • Breast cancer screening for women over 40, as indicated

  • Bone Density Assessment - DEXA Scan

    • Specialized scan to assess bone health and risk of future fractures, where clinically indicated. Price includes telephone follow-up with doctor, discussion of results, and advice on fracture prevention

  • CT scan/MRI

    • CT scans covering the heart calcium score, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and colon.​

  • Pelvic Ultrasound

    • Screening for ovarian pathology
